How to fill out a Yahtzee score sheet

Each column is one player (or one game, if you're playing solo). Every turn you write a score in exactly one empty box of your column. After 13 turns your column is full and you add it up.

Upper section

Ones through Sixes: write the total of the dice showing that number. Three 4s in the Fours box is 12. When all six are filled, add them up. If the upper total is 63 or more, write 35 in the bonus box.

Lower section

  • Three of a Kind, Four of a Kind, Chance: total of all five dice
  • Full House: 25
  • Small Straight: 30
  • Large Straight: 40
  • Yahtzee: 50
  • Yahtzee bonus: put a check for each extra Yahtzee you roll after scoring 50 in the Yahtzee box. Each check is worth 100.

Grand total

Upper total (with any bonus) plus lower total plus Yahtzee bonuses. Highest grand total wins. Not sure about a rule? The complete Yahtzee rules cover everything, including the Joker rules.

Score sheet questions

How many games fit on one sheet?

The printable version has six columns, so one sheet covers six solo games or one game for up to six players.

What's the bonus box for?

The upper bonus is 35 points for reaching 63 in Ones through Sixes. That's three of each number. The online score card fills it in automatically.

What if my roll doesn't fit anywhere?

You still have to fill a box, so you write a zero somewhere. Most players save Ones or Chance for exactly this. The strategy guide covers which box to sacrifice.

Can I skip the paper altogether?

Yep. In Jatzee the dice and the scoring are automatic, and you can play Yahtzee online with friends on different phones.
